I enjoy writing about strong heroines in my romances. I have two series Women of Character and Women of Strength. Each of their stories pick up shortly before a crisis in their lives, whether it is the loss of a sister, a fiance who abandoned the heroine in a foreign country, a woman about to lose the farm she loves or a devastating accident, my heroine grapples with what life is throwing at them with integrity and strength of character. That doesn’t always mean they make the right choices, nor does it mean they might not shed a tear or two, but through it all they take action to help those they care about. They are motivated by loyalty and family bonds and sometimes troubled by those very same connections. But ultimately, the stories embrace family and the power of love.
My heroines are not out there physically kicking ass or wielding knives, but their inner core of strength is displayed in all they do. How can you not let such characters find their life long love?
